"Too beautiful for words, a virtual Adonis"

There I was, idly perusing the Wiki page of a certain legendary Scotsman, when I became a tad disorientated.

An Edinburgh heart throb

Many of the entries seemed to 'cross' over quite neatly into what I shall tentatively dub 'the greatest Wikipedia page yet to be written', the life, leg before's and legovers of a certain Arboretum legend.

Passages (including the title of this post) such as:

"polled as "The Greatest Living Scot" and "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". In 1989, he was proclaimed "Sexiest Man Alive" by Peoplemagazine and in 1999, at age 69, he was voted "Sexiest Man of the Century""

Not a CRB check in sight

"then worked as, among other things, a lorry driver, a lifeguard at Portobello swimming baths, a labourer, an artist's model for the Edinburgh College of Art, after a suggestion by former Mr. Scotland, Archie Brennan.[20][21] and a coffin polisher."

Another Edinburgh heart throb

Will Hollywood ever realise what it missed?????

HX Lookalikeys cont.

Once again no cricket means me stepping into the gap to (attempt to) entertain the fine defenders of Fortress Arboretum. Here's a peach I've been meaning to air for a while.

It must be said that despite his high end breeding, it appears that Lord Admin has a rather common fizzog although in this case the barnet is a great match too.

Not too long after his rag & bone impression, another of his doppelgangers has come to light.

Decide for yourself...

Lord Arboretum

Fans of BBC comedy The Thick of It will immediately know of whom I speak.

Good lord, it isn't is it???

The resemblance is uncanny (smile aside)!!!  Are they by any chance related??? We should be told!!!

Two Docs

Saturday marks a new era for the Cross with Two-Dogs-in his 20/21st season with the club-due to make his 2nd XI debut...as a batsman. However, one wonders how he will find the time with his business interests, chairing various Tourism bodies, newspaper scribbling etc ...and also his acting and ....now singing commitments.

Famous Crossers? (1st Instalment)

Though we're all aware that the club membership contains a number of distinguished individuals (well 3 at least) could it be that it contains some hidden talent...

Exhibit A.
Is this a young Matthew Broderick...or perhaps a well-connected young Crosser?

Exhibit B.
is this Danish Table Tennis Player (and European Champion in 2009)
Michael Maze...or is it a fearsome ex-Crosser?
