Lat night's programme on the history of English cricket was very good, despite having far too much on the 2005 Ashes series. It was obviously very dramatic, there's lots of good footage and it's easy to find people to interview, but was it really anything more than a magnificent blip in a long-term trend of Australian success ? Nonetheless, wonderful to see the footage of CoCo bowling to WG Grace .......
ReplyDeleteit was also nice to see footage of Chris Kerr's underarm (actually don't recall Hambledon getting a mention)
ReplyDeletemust admit I could have done without seeing the same footage of Bodyline, Laker's 19for, Botham's Ashes, Ashes 2005 etc for the 100th time...
