    Hi Folks just a quick match report for the 3rds!

    Due to circs in the 2's beyond my control we were reduced to 9 at 1030 on Saturday. However nothing daunted we trooped off to Campbell park whereupon I duly lost only my second toss of the year! Funnily enough the oppo put us in to bat Stodgy me and expansive Nipun put on ca 30 for my wicket which brought the redoubtable Scott to the crease - there ensued one of the best partnerships I've seen 130 odd! Nipun falling for 82 (somewhat knackerd by then!) The oppos bowled really well at the death strangling us in the last 4-5 overs, we ended up on 170 for 4 Scotty not out on 42 (again) We bowled as well as we could (one bowler short really) and with 2 missing in the field the win for Dunfermline who were a really good sporting side got the runs for 6 down! and 3.4 overs left. Another sad HX tale of ifs and buts but a good game which (as usual we should have won (if we had another bowler or even a couple of fielders!)
    We're still on 80% but as for winning the league it's now in other hands but our own, even if we win all our games from now (and we should!!!)

    I think the Div 8 table on the ESCA website is before the results for last weekend (4 July) games.
