It goes without saying that i err want to play :)
ReplyDeleteI had it described to me today that the biggest cricketing rivalry is not the Ashes, but actually Mufs Vs (and i quote) 'da cross'
2-0 to da cross in Div 1 this season.
ReplyDeleteFair comment for recent years, but the HX-MUFS thing only really dates back to the 2004 Div 2 championship race. Crossers of my vintage will remember Marchmont as our closest (in both senses of the word) rivals up to that point and St Modans as our deadliest foes.
ReplyDelete1-0 in Div 5 to Mufs and the only match vs the 3's was rained off.
ReplyDeleteSo if we win on tuesday, we err take the series!
And Mr Admin, fresh rivalries are good for keeping the blood pumping (especially good natured ones!!!)

ReplyDeletethink the scorecard of our league games (1st team) vs Mufs is:
ReplyDeleteyear Mufs HX
2004 1 1
2005 0 2
2006 0 2
2007 2 0
2008 1 0 (1 abandonment)
2009 0 2
