Err, 2s win - not a typo

On a strip never seen before at Watsionians skip thankfully won the toss and stuck them in.

They got off to great start being 90 odd for 1 off 15.

Norrie fitted in straight away by dropping a catch in/out of the bread basket early on - welcome. Thankfully he castled their opener, albeit after he made 66, and we were in. Milly came on and bowled beautifully, ending up with figures of 5 for 21 off 9. Zeeshan had no luck finishing with 0 off 9 for 25.

Catches were taken (albeit most of them and at times using legs/thighs rather than hands) and we restricted them to 169.

To be fair to Norrie, he still had time to drop even more of a sitter off Shammo (soon to be lost to Aberdeen!?!?) and then run out Andy Q (but it's ok, Andy has vanquished the memory with help of some shampoo!?!?).

We replied in dodgy style, with both Nippun and James dropped off genuine dollies when our reply was in single digitits. They put on about 70 before James took a nasty blow - the whole club wishes you well James.

The first genuine wicket went down when we were on 94.

We then had our traditional wobble before Norrie and Milly brought us home with 5 wickets and 10 overs to spare.

Crosstastic!

  3. Let me check Ziggy, two dropped catches and a run out is this good or bad for my fantasy team as it is a hat trick of sorts!!!!!

Norrie, it is what is known in Cross circles as a 'virtual hatrick'. One veteran Crosser once 'took'
7 virtual hatricks in one season (1997).
