A small, friendly cricket club based in north Edinburgh, near Inverleith Park and the Botanics. We put out two Saturday elevens in the East League in Divisions 4 and 7 and play midweek cup ties and friendlies. This should be filed alongside someone moving to the end of a runway at Heathrow and complaining about the noise of the planes or moving to Saudi and whinging about the lack of booze.
ReplyDeleteWe used to get this at Penicuik, where the ground had been for about a hundred years and some 1960's/70's houses had been built round the boundary. People moved there, then complained about cricket balls going into their garden.
I don't want cricket balls smashing my car, so, er, didnt move in next to a cricket ground. But then I'm renowned for my stunning braininess...
