A small, friendly cricket club based in north Edinburgh, near Inverleith Park and the Botanics. We put out two Saturday elevens in the East League in Divisions 4 and 7 and play midweek cup ties and friendlies. If you’d like to play some cricket, whatever your ability and however long you're in Edinburgh, please contact us through the link below. NB - views expressed here are only very occasionally "official".
Should this be Hilly Cross in tribute to the gentle rise towards the stumps at the Ferry Road end ? Or Highly Cross (or even Wholly Cross) in tribute to one of Smudger's cap-stamping tantrums ? Almost as many possibilities as Eileen the Bar trying to remember Shifty's nickname - Shorty, Shirty, Swifty, Sticky and two or three that are far too crude for this site.
ReplyDeleteFor me the hardest name convention is teh spelling of Ziggy's name, its a really good job he isn't a bowler or we would have seen some great spellings for it before now!!!!!
