Provisional 2010 League Fixtures - already slightly updated

Here are the League fixtures as they stand at the moment. Depending on other clubs' pitch availabilities, some games may still need to be rearranged to Sundays etc - indeed, we have already had one request for a 3rd XI away fixture to be moved.

Many thanks, as ever, to Tom Rutherford at ESCA for all his work in scheduling eight divisions' worth of fixtures and to our own PVB for liaising with the Council over Edinburgh pitch allocations.

    So that Charlie won't have to wait too long before visiting his favourite ground at Fauldhouse, ESCA have magnanimously agreed to swap the venues of the two games, bringing forward the visit to June 5th.

    The knock-on effect of this is for the 2nds to be at home on June 5th v Accies. (Accies were unlikely to have a ground in the school term). However the return game on August 7th doesn't have a ground either yet.

    Ken should be pleased that a) his fixtures are unchanged and b) over 110 glorious maidens have been bowled in the first 3 innings of the Scotland match in Nairobi. "Real cricket" I can hear him (plus Smudger, Coco et al) thinking, as he contemplates more coastal heroics in the new decade.

    Talking of which, it's our 60th anniversary - couldn't we revive an old HX tradition and have a tour? Another task for our brilliant social sec! ..or how about a meal / gathering to celebrate?
