Weekend Round Up

The short version ......

The longer version ....

All three XIs (and they were ultimately XIs thanks to another sterling effort from the selection committee) bowled and all three games were abandoned.

After warming up intensively by putting up the scorers' gazebo, the 1sts had the best of it reducing Grange 2nds to 122 for 6, of which Gough scored 87, with Kevin taking three wickets. Broon, one of the late volunteers,  also took three wickets, his best return for the club, as Leith FAB 2nds scored 175 for 5 against the 3rds. The entire 2nds' bowling attack couldn't manage three wickets between us as RH Corstorphine 2nds reached 120 or so for 2.

Decent club session in the Green Room, only slightly spoiled by the mysterious disappearance of all the cakes from the 1sts' tea .......
