A small, friendly cricket club based in north Edinburgh, near Inverleith Park and the Botanics. We put out two Saturday elevens in the East League in Divisions 4 and 7 and play midweek cup ties and friendlies. If you’d like to play some cricket, whatever your ability and however long you're in Edinburgh, please contact us through the link below. Hehehehe. I dont think Scottish Cricket is quite ready or the "Harlequin" strip just yet.
ReplyDeleteYes it was a cracker and far better than mine!
ReplyDelete"Following a proposal to improve the standard of teas in ESCA's league matches, ESCA will initiate a Fair Tea League. Full guidance on the points system will be explained at the pre-season meeting.
Each visiting club can invoke a "Powerplay" to specify one delicacy of their choice. Fantasy Bob (Carlton) was in no doubt that Carlton 4th XI would be insisting on plenty of biscuits, probably the jammy dodger. Mr Belly (Murrayfield Dafs) said it was a no-brainer and that pork pies were essential for a good day (conscientious objectors to pork pies could apply for a dispensation). He explained that Mufs take teas very seriously and would be announcing the winner of their "Best Visiting Tea" award for 2010 on April 9th. Falkland and Largo welcomed the proposal.
Tables for the award "Teas With A Taste 2011" will be posted immediately the season ends to enable a play-off to take place between the two highest ranking clubs to find a TWAT of the year."
