Leaked documents from ESCA seem to suggest that the 1st XI will begin their season at home to Watsonians 2nds (May 1st), while HX 2nds will be away to Watsonians 3rds (presumably at Craiglockhart).
The 3rds begin a week earlier (April 24th)-at home to Drummond/ Trinity.

The 3rds' first game is currently allocated to Inverleith 1, which I assume is the grass pitch. It may yet move to Arbo, but only if there isn't a 1st XI or 2nd XI home friendly that day. (I can't actually imagine us getting three XIs out in April, but who knows what the new selection paradigm might achieve?)

ReplyDeleteif so, it would probably have to be on the wicket on the edge of the square (i.e. nearest SM)-probably better than Inverleith but unlikely to be a 'road'-especially in late April.
If it's at Inverleith Park, it will be on the grass pitch.
ReplyDeleteThe teams the 3rds play twice are Mufs, Dunf, DT and SMRH.
They get Campbell Park 7 times,Inverleith Park twice.
Teuchters, the new team of mainly ex SMRH 3rd XI, will play at Leith Links.
The 3rd XI pool should take their holidays/ hold dinner parties/ take their wives or girlfriends shopping on May 15th as that is their blank day.(15 teams in league) ..or they could support the 1st XI at Arbo v Carlton.
